Customer Service Requires an Energy Reset

One of the most common issues my clients mention is how long it takes to choose and learn a new tool. And just when you get the hang of it, someone invariably tells you about a tool that is better, faster, stronger- and cheaper. “You should switch right now!”

AI is rapidly multiplying the number of tools hitting the market, making it even harder to figure out what actually works for you

I’ve been lucky. For the most part, I’ve used the same core tools in my business for years.

Because I work with lots of clients, I’ve used lots of different CRM’s, course platforms, project management tools, and more. But I’ve stuck with a few essential tools for a long time because they’re easy to use, meet my needs, are reasonably priced, do regular updates, and- most importantly- I don’t have to relearn them every few weeks.

I’ve been tested this week.

Last Friday- Black Friday- I noticed an issue with a critical tool. I brushed it off, assuming it was due to heavy online traffic from holiday shoppers.

On Monday, I spent an hour on the phone with 🎧customer service. We jumped through every possible hoop, and painstakingly walked through all sorts of steps, only to get… nowhere. I had to take myself for a walk to get the feeling back into my body(!) and wake up my brain.

Today, I’ve spent another 45 minutes on the phone with customer service🛠️🎧- I’m trying to fix two tools that are supposed to integrate, and suddenly, after 5 years, are not talking to one another. I need to call back the customer service folks I talked to yesterday, because the issue still isn’t resolved.

And honestly? The last thing I want to do is talk to customer service. Sitting through a call with someone in a noisy call center, trying to follow complicated instructions🛠️, only to have things still not work. That was not on my to-do list today. So here I am- writing to you instead of making the phone call.

I’ve already tried AI support, online chat, and digging through the Help docs.

Clearly, I need to reset my energy before I dial them again.

I’m heading outside to breathe fresh air, wake up my telomeres, call in my dragons and upstairs team for technical assistance, light a candle, and say a prayer. Then- deep breath- I’ll call customer service. Send a little love my way, will you?

In the meantime, here is a list of tools I use regularly that are super intuitive and easy to navigate! I’ve had great success with them over the years. If you’re looking for systems with a smooth user experience and a solid track record (at least for me), give these a shot.
