Be Brave, Don’t Do It Alone
My intuition guides my business. If something feels like fun and flows smoothly, that’s a great sign.
If what I am doing doesn’t feel good, or if I have constant doubts in my head or gut, then I need to reassess my actions. That is how I stay in touch with the Universe. Those taps and nudges are how the Universe tells me I’m going in the right direction or the wrong direction. But here’s the catch …
Those nudges don’t come with a full set of instructions on what I should do. It would be phenomenal if they did.
Here’s a personal example that just happened: We had a trip planned to visit friends in Las Vegas. We had trouble finding a dog-sitter, our usual sitter was out of town, but we eventually found a wonderful woman.
I had a nagging feeling that I shouldn’t go on the trip, more precisely that something would happen if I was away. I know that feeling is a clear sign to rethink what I am doing. I checked in with the Universe and received a clear signal that we had the right sitter. I checked in on the flights and received a clear signal that the flights would be safe and on time. I checked on everything I could think of and still could not get rid of my concern.
I decided there was probably nothing I could do about whatever would happen and flew off to Las Vegas.
Within 24 hours of arriving our dog sitter had an emergency. It was 9 PM on the East Coast, and I needed someone to stay overnight with the dogs. The sitter would be back by noon the next day. I made one phone call, and an amazing friend gladly stepped in to care for the dogs. The sitter was back the next day, and from that moment on, everything was perfect.
As soon as I had the overnight sitter in place, the feeling of dread I had been carrying around for weeks went away. There was nothing I could have done to mitigate or eliminate the emergency.
I spent a lot of time trying to determine where the issue was coming from. If I had clear instructions that the dread was not my own but related to an event I couldn’t control, I would have left home feeling more comfortable.
What I forgot was that the Universe ALWAYS has my back. I can count on it to help me find the best possible outcome. I was not alone.
What does that have to do with business?
