Hiding Your Magical Truth Repels Clients

I am undeniably a spiritual entrepreneur. I weave my spirituality into everything I do. Check my Instagram or Facebook pages, take a look at my website- you can’t miss it.

In every iteration of my business, I’ve had a strong spiritual component to my being. I didn’t always share it as publicly as I do now. The analytical, practical part of me wanted to know if sharing my spirituality would enhance my business message.

I knew I wanted to work with heart-led, spiritual business owners. I had spent most of my career working in traditional online businesses. Putting my spirituality front and center might drive away more traditional clients, but it also might draw spiritual clients.

I decided to do an A/B test. I created several memes for Instagram and Facebook, featuring slightly different messages and a more mystical, spiritual background for the spiritually focused content.

The spiritual memes drew more likes and comments. The comments were from people who fit my niche market. There was a significant difference in the data. Sharing my spiritual message was more magnetic than the “traditional” message.

There are distinct benefits to sharing your authentic self:

Like recognizes like- people know when your message matches their vibration. The better people feel like they know you, the more likely they are to work with you. Your authenticity permits people to be their authentic selves. Authenticity is super sexy- it draws people to you.

What happens when you don’t share your full self:

Your vibration feels “off”. That “off” vibration pushes some people away. Eliminating part of yourself from your business will create dissonance within you. Your soul will remind you that you are not fully integrating with your business. Sophisticated social media users sniff out inauthenticity instantly.

The bottom line is that holding part of yourself back creates discomfort for you and repels potential clients.

That doesn’t mean you have to dive into the deep end like I did. You can weave your beliefs into how you manage projects, how you make decisions, and how you interact with your clients. Every time you more fully integrate your spiritual magic with your business, you create a relationship that will take you farther and light up your soul.
