Intuition or Traditional Reality?
How do you know when it’s time to listen to your intuition and ignore everything else?
’m a practical realist (not according to the seemingly academic definitions out there on Google—I’m a pretty smart woman, and those definitions make my eyes cross). My definition—when appropriate, doing the practical, tactical thing that takes into account your current reality. Depending on what that action is, you may need to take into account your time reality, your ideal client’s needs/desires, your money reality, and your caretaker reality. I say “may” need to because you know that sometimes the seemingly ridiculous is exactly the course of action to take.
For instance, imagine I want to hold a summit with 20 speakers. My head may be telling me that the perfect timing is March. If I look at my time commitments, including travel and business commitments, at my caretaker commitments, including a house-sit with lots of animals and managing medical issues, prescriptions, and appointments for my husband, and at the reality that putting together a summit is a very heavy lift… March doesn’t make sense. (No, I have no intention of doing a summit; this is simply an example.)
I’m highly intuitive. I’m almost (that’s the realist) always tuned in to my intuition.
That manifests as feeling amazing about some things that others just don’t seem to vibe with.
A current example- I’m starting a new mastermind group. I LOVE this idea because I understand the value of masterminds and community. I’ve learned that even as a lone wolf, community touch points are essential. More than that, a community that gets you and includes peers who can mastermind with you is pure gold.
My mission is getting all of the spiritually led, heart-centered women in business running their business in alignment with their soul; building their soul song into the very core of their business at some level, the systems, the processes, the language.
I help you marry the 5D with the 3D, magic with strategy, the spiritual with the practical.
I’m kicking around names for the new group and the one I cannot get out of my head- Ether and Earth: a mastermind bridging the spiritual and the practical.
Following my own advice, I have also conjured up 3 or 4 other potential names for the program. I’ve asked my ideal clients what names resonate with them.
==>Here’s where my initial question comes from: My ideal clients seem to resonate more with “traditional” sounding names. The Oracles’ Table- a gathering of intuitive women in business; Phoenix Mastermind- transformation and leadership.
They don’t sound interesting to me. My heart keeps going back to Ether and Earth.
The business mentor in me says go with the more traditional names. It’ll be easier for your clients to immediately understand what the mastermind is about, how it can benefit them, and in these interesting times, easy understanding is gold.
The spiritual mentor in me says go with what makes your heart sing. The people meant to join will see the name, see the tag line, get the reference, and revel in the connection.
The practical realist in me says the traditional names embrace your spiritual magic (Oracle, Phoenix), so it’s ok, go with it.
Back to the question… How do you know when it’s time to listen to your intuition and ignore everything else?
My intuition is front and center in my life- my whole life. And the first thing it said was, “WRITE. Share the question. The struggle is real for you and for others”.
Writing is like speaking out loud for some - it helps me find the answer.
Here I am… writing… and the answer to the question, “How do you know when it’s time to listen to your intuition and ignore everything else?” Is,
==> you don’t know when it’s time. It’s different for every circumstance and every human.
AND you know what works for you.
Starting from my intuition always works. Practically, the harder I lean into my spiritual side, the more my tribe flocks to me. Adding a dash of connecting with my ideal clients to the cauldron brewing inside of me… that’s the antidote!
This writing, right now, opened up a door to a whole new name that feels exciting! A name that embraces the traditional, my clients love, with a heavy dose of the spiritual/practical mix that lights me up.
Frankly, that’s what my clients have come to expect of me- something unexpected in a way that highlights all of the best pieces of me, and that calls them to the brightest pieces of them.
I’m not going to share the name yet, but here’s a hint: think The Oracle at Delphi with a bunch of sisters masterminding…
