If You Need a Unique 2026 List to Be Real Again, You Never Were Real

Everyone is creating 2026 lists. What’s coming, what’s leaving, what’s old, what’s new… whatever.

A coach, who has been around for ages and is super well-known, released a state of the internet list. One of the things mentioned was a return to authenticity, intention, and real human connection.

A return?

I never left. My clients never left.

Bland, generic, AI fakeness- from social media posts, to courses- has us all wiping off the icky feeling and craving REAL. I have been a champion of authenticity for years because there has always been a cadre of folks who were never authentic. Now, have one thing to blame it all on. 😉

Here’s the thing- I agree with the coach- if you abdicate your content to AI (or anyone/anything else) you need to return to your authentic self. AND you never should have allowed AI to infiltrate your content.

I know, judgey.

I accept that.

Authenticity has always been the clear winner when it comes to content and connection.

Authenticity should have been your keyword from the very beginning.

Unfortunately, some of the “best and brightest” started using AI to not only ideate new courses, content, etc., but also to create them, start to finish. AI pulls its information from the internet. It only knows what we tell it. It’s an aggregator at worst and an intelligence at best. (I use “intelligence” tongue-in-cheek, AI isn’t quite there yet… but it will be. And THAT is a discussion for another day.)

As an aggregator, it spews out bland, boring, been there, done that.

Yes, people still buy. Why? Because they don’t know what they don’t know. Your legacy clients know it’s regurgitated, your new clients don’t.

You know what authenticity is? It’s the way you pause when making a statement. It’s the em-dashes you naturally use and the short sentences you use for emphasis.

Authenticity is the words that come from your heart with an energy only you can give them. An energy that imprints on the paper page, on the webpage, and in the ethers, forever.

Sure, use AI for grammar edits, clarity, ideation, image creation…

And remember, AI regularly hallucinates (AI hallucination is when AI generates plausible-sounding but factually incorrect or nonsensical outputs).

It happens all… the… time. Just ask Geoffrey Hinton (often referred to as the “Godfather of AI,” awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2024 for his foundational work in machine learning and artificial neural networks).

Bottom line, your witchy, spiritually connected, intuitive, dragon-loving, unicorn-cavorting, fairy tree-hugging self is enough. 🐉🧚🪄🌲🦄You are the magic on a 3D planet.

Your authenticity, your passion will come through in everything you do.

Don’t return to REAL.

Double down on it.

Make it your mantra.

The world will thank you.
